way for my education, and I am dedicated to helping young players develop the skills, mindset, and work ethic needed to reach their athletic and academic goals. The most rewarding part of coaching is witnessing a player grow—from their first steps on the court to becoming a confident, well-rounded athlete. My coaching style is often described as that of a “player’s coach” because my experience allows me to understand the game’s nuances and position players for success.

At Planet Rock, my goal is to foster a fun, supportive environment where athletes of all backgrounds can thrive, improve, and ultimately elevate their game to new heights.

I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your full potential!

At Planet Rock, my passion for basketball and dedication to developing young athletes come together in a transformative program. As a former Division 1 basketball player, I know firsthand the dedication and skill required to compete at the highest levels.

My journey has given me invaluable knowledge that I’m eager to share, equipping athletes of all ages with the tools they need to succeed. With over 1,000 career points and honors such as Team Captain and MVP, I’ve refined my skills both on and off the court. Now, my mission is to pass on that experience and expertise to the next generation of athletes.

Coaching is my way of giving back to a game that shaped my life. Basketball has taken me around the world and paved the

Dear Athletes,

Welcome to Planet Rock! I am beyond excited to meet each of you and begin this journey together!

Basketball has taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. It has shown me the power of hard work and the importance of believing in myself and in my teammates. These lessons extend far beyond the court, shaping the way we approach life, relationships, and personal growth. My goal is to help you develop not only your skills in basketball, but also the values that will serve you in all areas of life—integrity, respect, and a strong work ethic.

As you embark on your path in sports and life, remember that true greatness is measured by your efforts, desiccation, resilience, and the way you uplift those around you. Greatness stands strong, refuses to make excuses, and views setbacks as an opportunity to learn and improve.Every practice, every game, and every challenge you face is an opportunity to grow.

Above all, I want you to understand this: You are more than just an athlete. You are a leader, a student, a friend, and a role model. The effort you put in today will shape your future—not just in sports, but in everything you do. My commitment to this program goes far beyond basketball. I am here to support you, push you to reach new heights, and help you realize that you are capable of more than you ever imagined.

Know that I will always be in your corner—through the wins, the losses, and everything in between. I believe in you, I respect the efforts you bring, and I can’t wait to see the incredible things we’ll accomplish together. Stay committed, stay focused, find the joy in the journey and let your passion drive you to make yourself, your family and your community proud.

With support and excitement,
COACH WOODS
